Hi everyone, before someone say it's winter on the north pole, I gotta say it's damn hot here in Brasil, so I though a tasty and frosty illustration would be a good exercise to do.
This is a step by step tutorial forwarding some of the previous tutorials. The idea is to incentive the idea of playing in Illustrator. It's a simple tutorial but it will deal with some pretty basic shapes, but a good knowledge of the softwares tool will make things quite easier for you, also if you are using a tablet for this tutorial. So, let's do it.
The wallpaper of this week is the artwork for the FITC 2012 Amsterdam , the image was created by Ars Thanea with art direction of Peter Jaworowski and Michal Dziekan in the digital art.
FITC Amsterdam has played host to a program focused on design, technology and cool shit for the last four years, and 2012 is no exception. As technology continues to evolve, this event has evolved right alongside it, educating, challenging and inspiring attendees to set the bar even higher
The book suggestion of the week is one of my favorites, it's called Typology: Type Design From Victorian Era to the Digital Age and it covers a lot of art history always linking with types and typography. It's a must read for those starting out their careers or even willing to dust off their typology and typography skills.
