The Museum of Art and Archaeology of the Côa Valley is like the architects say, "an installation in the landscape. " Simply amazing!</h3> <!--break--><!--break--><p>Designed by portugues earchitect <a href="http://www.camilorebelo.com/">Camilo Rebelo</a>, along with Tiago Pimentel and Sandra Barbosa, is located in Portugal, in the Côa Valley. The building is practically part of the landscape that has a stunning view, it's a monolithic form made?with stones and local color. Built with clean lines, thin and vertical windows to not lose the horizontal concept adopted for the project. This project by Unsangdong Architects uses the Gallery Yeh to do exactly that, and they manage to show all the "lightness" we can get from concrete.</h3> <p>A fantastic building located in Seoul, Korea that is brilliant since its volume conception, internal areas composition to the material choices. The concept of "empty and full plans" with glass create what they call a "Skinscape", like a skin with some open parts where we can see other elements, creating combinations of skin and structure, skin and space, skin and glass and so on. The exhibit is a showcase of his work from childhood to the present.</h3> <p>There are paintings, sketches, figurines, sculptures, photography, video, storyboards, and props from his movies. <strong>MoMA</strong> did an excellent job of encompassing all aspects of his work. I've been a fan of his since I first saw Pee Wee's Big Adventure, but it wasn't until Beetlejuice that I truly saw his genius. The exhibit was sponsored by the <strong>Syfy </strong>channel, which I enjoy as well. </p> <p>Here are some of my photos from the exhibit. If you're in New York City, you definitely have to check it out. It's open until April 2010.
